In the first Artist Talk by A Brilliant Noise, artistic director, musician and arranger Kay Sleking takes you behind the scenes of Confluence, the first production by A Brilliant Noise.
Using concrete examples, he explores the musical and artistic choices behind the production. How do you bring different musical worlds together without losing their individual character? What roles do arrangement, composition and instrumentation play? And what happens when musicians with different backgrounds and musical languages truly meet?
The talk also offers insight into the wider creative process: from the first artistic idea and the founding of A Brilliant Noise to bringing together the musicians and makers and developing a new production.
The Artist Talk will take place in September. Donors who selected the Artist Talk as their crowdfunding reward will receive a personal invitation. A limited number of places will also be available to other interested participants for a small fee.
