Now we continue building.
A Brilliant Noise believes in music as a universal language that connects people beyond cultural and social boundaries. In a time of increasing polarisation, we place the power of encounter and collaboration at the centre of our work.
Together with newcomers, musicians with a migration background, and established ensembles, we create new compositions and arrangements in which global sounds and classical traditions meet. In doing so, we make space for new voices, new stories, and an artistic quality that connects and enriches.
Music as a space of encounter.
In Confluence, musical worlds meet within a shared space of imagination, improvisation and new connections.

Confluence literally means coming together: the point where different currents meet and something new emerges. Together with Alma Quartet, Hamid Reza Behzadian and artistic director Kay Sleking are developing new repertoire in which Eastern and Western musical traditions merge into a contemporary sonic landscape.
On the Indian slide guitar, Behzadian connects Persian and Middle Eastern melodic traditions with the expressiveness of the blues and the refinement of North Indian classical music. In dialogue with Alma Quartet, a shared space emerges for imagination, encounter and new connections.
The productions of A Brilliant Noise operate at the intersection of music, text, and theatrical form. They are flexible in structure and can be presented in a variety of settings, from intimate venues to festivals and unique locations.
What connects all productions is their direct expressive power: music and text function as carriers of meaning and engage with personal and societal questions.
A Brilliant Noise works with different formats, each offering its own space for encounter, storytelling, and musical expression.
Within A Brilliant Noise, words become music and music becomes story.
Spoken word artist Asmae Amaddaou adds a new voice to Confluence: words that deepen the musical encounter and open up themes of identity, memory and belonging.
For A Brilliant Noise, collaboration is not a means, but an artistic necessity.
Music gains meaning in relation to other voices, stories, and perspectives, within the richness of the classical tradition.
From this perspective, we collaborate across boundaries: between disciplines, experiences, and contexts.
Not to bridge differences, but to make them audible, grounded in the understanding that artistic innovation begins with encounter.
